“Rhythm of Triverz” (RoT or Triverz for short) is a 3D souls like rhythm action game, that some uni colleagues, friends and I started working on as a semester project. It is set in medieval Austria. A giant Lindworm has taken over the town of Triverz, and Rosi, a farmers girl, has to fight against the, now evil, town residents.
We started developing the (not yet released) demo in the spring of 2023 and will continue working on it independently now.
Together with Moritz Höll I am responsible for the music, as well as the sound design. This includes voice lines from multiple characters, as well as foley. My main job, aside from the recording, was the sound editing afterwards. Pretty much everything was recorded using the software Logic Pro, the editing of sound effects was done in Audacity.
Since this is a rhythm game, we made sure to have the songs be at exactly 120bpm. The goal was, that the player creates more damage if they hit enemies on beat. There are different versions of the combat song, depending on how well the fight is going. We also created a song for the bossfight, which also has different layers and parts.
